Students kept engaged in innovative activities during summer break

During the Summer Vacations, the young minds of GIIS Hadapsar spent their time wisely by participating actively in the assignments given by their teachers prior to the holiday. Several other activities were also organised during the time to keep them occupied and well-directed.

Students participated in the activities with lots of interest and along with that, they were also following the guidelines of their teachers by doing proper health-benefiting exercises and motivating others to do the same.

With lots of planned exercises by the teachers, students were getting a chance to strengthen bonds with their family, especially with their grandparents.

This Summer vacation also offered the kids a lot of opportunities to discover new interests and explore new things to boost their self-learning experience and also learn how to manage time by positively utilizing their energies in learning new things.

To utilize this time in the most constructive way, the teachers prepared a ‘virtual beach bag’ of activities for students to get ready for summer and to launch our students for some fun, and enriching experiences. These activities further helped them to learn without stress and take the lead to use their imagination, creativity, and knowledge to do the assigned tasks. The main objective behind conducting these activities was to boost their thinking capacity and to develop their fine motor skills.

Not only students but teachers too enrolled themselves in several training programs organised by the GIIS that will further help them to keep up with the rapidly changing student composition and evolving classroom environment.  Moreover, these learning programs will further help them to enhance the ability to articulate and simplify thoughts into consumable bits that will help teachers effectively support a varied set of students.

The teachers received very happy responses from all the students and parents, while students enjoyed all the activities and made the most of their summer break. The parents too appreciated the way the children were conveniently occupied at home with creative activities which were based on their curriculum.

Therefore, we can proudly say that our teachers and students did not let the lockdown get in the way of celebrating their summer vacation through regular learning and engaging activities.
