Students of GIIS Smart Campus, Hadapsar expressed love towards their siblings when they celebrated Sibling Day on April 18.

Siblings are an important part of our lives. One cannot imagine his or her life without siblings. National Siblings Day is celebrated every year on April 10 to honour our siblings, show affection, and appreciate one another.

We cannot deny the fact that the memories of childhood with our siblings always brings a broad smile to our face no matter what age we have entered. Thus, wherever in the world or how busy we are, we should always cherish the gifted bond we share with our siblings.

The students at GIIS Hadapsar celebrated National Siblings Day with the theme ‘The Bond of Love’ where they  expressed their love towards their siblings by participating in various activities which included Dress-up photoshoot, uploading a picture with a sibling on google classroom and writing a message, Tattoo making, Greeting card making and writing a letter to the sibling.

The students participated with great enthusiasm. Grades 1 and 2 students wore matching outfits and dressed up in their favourite attire. Grades 3 & 4 students showed their creativity by making ‘Tattoos’ and decorated ‘Greeting Cards’ for their lovely siblings. Grade 5 students wrote an emotional letter showing their gratitude and love towards their siblings.

The celebration also gave the students a platform to express their love, respect, and gratitude towards their siblings.

Meanwhile, the Senior Secondary students actively took part in varied activities. Students from Grades 7 and 8 made beautiful cards for their siblings and showcased their love towards them. The teachers enlightened the children about the essence of love and care among siblings. Students of Grade 9 indulged themselves in making a collage of the memories they have with their siblings.

The  students made cards and presented them to their siblings. The happiness they shared gleamed out of each student’s eyes. Grade 10 students came up with a role-play envisaging the essence of love in a family.

The day was celebrated with zeal and zest and ensured that the students embrace moral and family bonds in them.
