Dear Parent,

Almost to nearing the closure of Academic Year 2020-2021, I am so enthused with the hard work put in by our students, teachers, staff and parents during this difficult year. Our teachers have left no stone unturned and put in huge amount of efforts in making virtual learning a great and enriching experience for our students. Heartfelt thanks to our parents and students for taking on so much during this pandemic and everyone trying their best to maintain a sense of normalcy during this “COVID School year”.

Global Indian International School, Smart Campus Hadapsar realises that success in the contemporary world relies not just on cognisance, but also on creativity, entrepreneurship and the ability to explore. GIIS has multiple innovative programmes that use an age-appropriate and adaptive approach to allow students to evolve as they grow.

While academic excellence is emphasised at every level, the focus is placed on universal values, ethics, discipline, creativity and personality development in the initial years, before shifting to academic achievement, leadership and entrepreneurial skills, and key competencies for vocational and career progression during their building years.

Keeping with the trends of universal values, GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar celebrated Makar Sankranti virtually with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm. On this auspicious day, the teachers of pre-primary engaged the little ones by showing an interesting documentary. They made interesting pop-up cards & beautiful kites with interesting messages. They even integrated an EPL activity of pounding with the celebrations.

Extracurricular activities are performed by students that fall outside the realm of the normal curriculum of school education. Such activities are generally voluntary, social & philanthropic. GIIS Noida organised an inter-school online Chess tournament on Jan 15 &16, 2021. Our students from grades 1-8 participated in it with zeal. Akshaj Chari from grade 7 stood sixth, while Gauri Chari from grade 6 bagged the second position. It was a moment of pride for GIIS Hadapsar.

An eminent personality once said, “The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.” Taking a hint from it, GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar organised LEAPS 2020-21 on Jan 28 & 29, 2021 virtually. 13 campuses took part in various competitions with great passion. On 28 Jan, 2021 many lively & zestful performances were witnessed for the live competitions like Intellectual Combat, Dramatize, Speak-up & Junkyard. The judges & all the attendees were mesmerised by the creativity & innovativeness brought in by the participants.

GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar also celebrated 72nd Republic Day amid the Covid situation with ardour & warmth. We were present in the campus to hoist the National flag & pay respect to it. The students celebrated it on 23rd Jan, 2021 virtually by indulging in various activities like pasting lentils on national flag, making wind chimes & bottle-art.

It was indeed a month full of enriching activities, competitions and accolades at GIIS Hadapsar. This only affirms our belief that as our students progress through the robust GIIS curriculum, they continually discover themselves and expand their learning horizons. It is a remarkable takeaway that students carry with them throughout their personal and professional lives.
