Mrs Jayvanti Pawar from GIIS Hadapsar wins Best Teacher in History award at ‘Teacher Excellence Award 2021’

Teachers Day turned out to be all the more special and was a moment of pride and honour as Mrs Jayvanti Pundalik Pawar, a teacher from Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Hadapsar won ‘The Best Teacher in History’ award at the ‘Teacher Excellence Awards 2021’, presented by UniApply and powered by Times Of India.

The 'Teacher Excellence Awards 2021' which is an initiative to recognise and felicitate the efforts made by the teachers to impart quality education amidst the pandemic, took place on an online platform on 5th September 2021.

More than 3,100 nominations were received and the jury shortlisted 42 winners in 22 different subject categories along with 12 special Jury Awards.  Teachers from schools in Delhi NCR and Maharashtra were eligible for these awards.

Speaking after receiving the award Mrs Jayvanti Pawar said “I am deeply honoured to be recognised as the Best Teacher in History in the ‘Teacher Excellence Award 2021’, presented by UniApply powered by Times Of India. I strongly believe that this award solidifies my beliefs and inspires me to work even harder. I had the honour of joining this esteemed institution in 2019 and am glad to be a part of GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar, where various workshops were offered like soft skills, Teamie, Apple training and much more. I owe my achievement to the incredible Principal of GIIS Hadapsar Smart Campus, Dr D Lakshmi Prasanna for her support and guidance. She has been my constant source of inspiration. I would like to specially mention that without this excellent work atmosphere, team spirit and bonding, none of the above achievements would have ever been possible.”

Appreciating her dedication and congratulating Mrs Jayvanti Pawar, Principal Dr Lakshmi Prasanna said “With great pride, I share the achievement of Mrs Jaywanti Pawar for having been chosen as the Best Teacher in History. My sincere appreciation and heartfelt congratulations. I do not have enough words to express my pride for Jaywanti or my words to appreciate her progress. I am so delighted by her dedication to the work, and enthusiasm towards her goal.”

“In addition to her contributions in terms of lesson planning, execution of events & activities, to working tirelessly to connect with students and families and to do it with passion and her readiness to come forward for anything related to school activity are truly appreciated. Thank you Jaywanti for thinking of the school as your own, as you tirelessly work for its betterment. This award is paid off for the hard efforts that you have put in as a teacher. GIIS as a family shall celebrate this glory,” the principal added.
