The pre-primary students of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Hadapsar secured the first position in the Inter-School Quiz Competition, ‘QUIZZARDS OF GIIS’ organised by GIIS Whitefield, Bangalore. The participants of GIIS Hadapsar team included our all-rounder Shlok Gajiwala and Rajveer Raskar from KG2. The confidence and the morale of the team Hadapsar was upbeat and the little one was smart, sharp, and prompt throughout the quiz rounds.

The team Hadapsar proudly shared the first position with GIIS Ahmedabad and GIIS Whitefield, Bangalore. The Chief Guest was Ms. Vaishali Borde (Head of Co-scholastics and GMP, GIIS India) and the guests of honour were Mr. Ashwani Kumar Saxena (Principal, GIIS Whitefield) and Ms. Preetha D’Mello (Head Mistress, Pre Primary, GIIS Whitefield).

The competition was thoughtfully structured in a way that helped sharpen our students’ minds and tested their presence of mind, memory, and promptness. The participating teams were asked to study the Literacy, Maths, and General Knowledge for this competition. The young minds were too smart and prepared themselves well by studying an integral portion of these years, numerology, and important dates of the events and also went through various videos relevant to the subjects. Everything was smartly covered and understood by the young learners.

There were 4 rounds in total - I SPY, Audio Visual, Rapid Fire, and the amazing tie-breaker round that brought the 3 teams winning the top position. Congratulations to all the young and smart Quizzards of GIIS from the pre-primary segment. The academic heads of GIIS, Whitefield Bangalore had fixed a set of guidelines for the participating teams from GIIS India campuses in Noida, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Pune. The team from the Hadapsar campus constantly scored well and reached to the top four position in the first round itself. The team successfully passed the litmus test in the Tie-breaker round and scored maximum points and were declared the winners.

The objective behind this Inter-school quiz competition was to test the students’ capability and general knowledge of students in different categories. This event provided immense opportunities to the participants to test their knowledge in several subjects with a competitive spirit and also helped our students to not only meet their peers from the sister GIIS campuses but also learned to compete at the Inter-school level.

Each quiz round was tricky and truly innovative and challenging for the tiny tots. But the students had left no stone unturned to win this competition. The participating teams also got support and encouragement from their respective class teachers and parents to prepare for the competition. The entire event was virtually organised and it was indeed a great moment for all of us at GIIS Hadapsar.
