A small skit, signifying Janmashtami as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces was explained to the kids by a splendid and colourful performance by the students of KG1 & KG2 depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil.

The kindergarteners graced the whole atmosphere as they were dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. The most significant event of the program was ‘Dahi Handi’.

The teachers of the GMP Department filled the handi with chocolates and kindergarteners tried to hit the handi with a newspaper-made stick. It was amazing to see the kids trying to break the handi with their small hands.

During the Janmashtami celebrations, kids of the Pre-Primary department also made matkis and decorated them and the same was given as takeaways to the kids.

Kids had a gala time. They enjoyed every moment of the celebration. The kids celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna with great fervour and enthusiasm. They went back home with a smile on their faces.
