GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar witnessed a prestigious moment as it successfully inducted the newly elected and selected members of the Student Council on 12th August 2022. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school cabinet.

The ceremony started by lighting the lamp which signifies the removal of darkness and the continuous upward movement of the flame denotes a path of wisdom and divinity.

Lt. Col Madbushi Shyam and Mrs Poonam Madbushi graced the special occasion with their presence. The Chief Guests motivated the young leaders with their candid and honest words.

The School Captain-Master Yug Dhawan, Vice-Captain- Ms Gauri Chari along with the Sports Captain- Master Ved Dixit, House Captains: Atharva Bang, Arnav Shah, Ishita Gupta and Noreen Trivedi of Hibiscus, Sunflower, Orchid and Chrysanthemum house respectively, Vice-House-Captains Ishita Jain, Jahanvi Khlate, Ananya Bhuyan and Argiya Thappa and House Prefects were conferred with badges, sashes and flags. The students’ council took the pledge to hold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem.

Our principal Dr D. Lakshmi Prasanna congratulated the new Student Council and emphasised the significance of setting priorities and the need of the hour to be a team player. She reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the School stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. The mesmerising performances by the students of GIIS added the right amount of sweetness to the occasion.

The proud parents' happiness knew no bounds when badges and sashes were conferred on the newly elected Students' Council. The function concluded with the National Anthem.
