GIIS Hadapsar is proud to share that our students have made it to the grand finale of the Make in India Innovation Initiative (MI4) scheduled on the 26th of April 2024. The project chosen to represent the school in the ultimate showdown of creativity and innovation is Team FoodWise.

Their visionary project, Reducing Food Waste and Nourishing Lives, resonates deeply with MI4's overarching mission of fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Guided by the visionary leadership of GSF India, MI4 empowers students to pioneer solutions that align seamlessly with the ethos of Make in India. Chosen students from GIIS Hadapsar are all set to embark on a transformative journey of exploration and creation, inspired by their unwavering dedication and ingenuity.

The MI4 journey began in August last year with 800 participants from 16 schools delving into innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. It encouraged them to think outside the box, identify real-world problems, and devise sustainable solutions using cutting-edge technology and design principles.

After a rigorous selection process, 12 projects have been shortlisted for the ultimate showdown. It has been an incredible journey that began with an impressive 100 ideas. Through campus-level rounds and meticulous evaluation, 44 projects were shortlisted, refined and narrowed down to the final 12 across four categories: Innovation Excellence, Sustainability Champion, Social Impact, and Future Entrepreneur.

The success of FoodWise serves as a shining beacon to GIIS Hadapsar's commitment to addressing real-world challenges. With their project's focus on tackling food waste while simultaneously nourishing lives, the team exemplifies the school's ethos of fostering holistic solutions that will make a positive difference in society.

As our students prepare to showcase their project on the grand stage of the MI4 finale, it embodies the spirit of youth-driven innovation that lies at the heart of this transformative initiative. Their journey is an inspiring example of the profound impact that can be achieved with creativity, dedication, and purpose.
