GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar celebrated the 74th Rrepublic Day in the school premises with a lot of excitement and happiness . The celebrations were a week-long affair and engaged students in different activities that included tricolor flower and craft making , debate and essay writing competitions, speak up activities, etc. A special assembly was also conducted with patriotic speeches and dance performances. Children took great pride in glorifying the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. 

On 26t January,h, the celebrations began at 8am in the campus with the flag hoisting ceremony followed  by the National Anthem. Our Principal, Dr. Lakshmi Prasanna in her address to the audience highlighted the significance of the day, the constitution and made the children aware about their responsibilities of being truly republic. She emphasized on the fact that the future of the country now lies in their hands. To further celebrate the occasion, students of the school presented a soulful patriotic rendition on ‘Jaago Hindustan’ and also performed to the tunes of “ Indiawale” to demonstrate their love for the country. The celebrations were also witnessed by the parents of performers who felt proud of their wards performing on stage.

The air was filled with zeal, patriotism and great pride for the nation. The celebrations came to an end with the unfurling of the tricolor flag and the image of a republic India in the minds and hearts of the audience.
