Dear All,

Welcome Back! I hope you all had a wonderful relaxing summer break at home, and are now recharged and ready to start with school work. I am confident that it’s going to be another incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff are all set to welcome the students back to the virtual classes with more innovative activities & new learning skills. In fact, each new academic year brings a positive change with more staff & students joining in. We are delighted to welcome everyone on board.

After a month-long of exciting learning happening at GIIS, it was time for a summer break which began from 8th May 2021. It was a time to enjoy and strengthen our bond with our family. Summer offers the kids a lot of opportunities to discover new interests. To utilize this time in the most constructive way, the teachers prepared a ‘virtual beach bag’ of activities for students to get ready for summer and to offer our students some fun and enriching experiences. Such activities usually help them to learn without stress and to take the lead to use their imagination, creativity, and knowledge to do the assigned tasks. The intent is to promote activities that can gradually become hobbies. Time management skills and life skills are the indirect benefits that children gain from the holiday homework.

Along with students, the teaching workforce also needs training and development to keep up with the rapidly changing student composition and evolving classroom environment. Learning never stops at GIIS, hence our teachers were provided with various training programmes to upgrade their skills this summer. While, training programmes on Communication skills enhanced their ability to articulate and simplify thoughts into consumable bits that will help them effectively support a varied set of students, the training program on technology skills helped transform teachers into resilient users of technology, leading them to be able to make confident and safe use of various teaching platforms and tools, and support students with much advanced and safer modes of online learning platforms. It surely helped the teachers to be more confident, knowledgeable, and proactive.

A great deal of time, effort, and thought has gone into the process of making this year’s virtual classes successful & interesting, with the main focus being the Academics, CCA & Sports activities. Careful consideration has been given to the inputs rendered by our parents from time to time in improvising our methods towards the teaching & learning process. All thanks to our parents for being so positive & supportive during these unprecedented times. Together, I know we will make this academic year one of growth and achievement for all the children.

I would also like to thank our management & leaders who tirelessly help us prepare for the Virtual school year. The commitment extended to ensuring that GIIS Smart Campus, Hadapsar remains a celebrated and successful school is truly inspiring. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honour and privilege to serve as your principal.
