As part of Waste Check Week, the students of Grade 6A at GIIS Nagpur took a wonderful initiative to spread awareness about proper waste management through an engaging and meaningful skit. The performance was not just entertaining, but also carried a strong message about caring for our environment and being responsible citizens.
The students beautifully highlighted the importance of the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle – and explained how simple daily habits can make a big difference. Through fun and relatable dialogues, they showed common situations such as littering in public places, wasting paper, and throwing garbage in the wrong bins. These scenes helped everyone understand how careless actions can harm our surroundings and pollute the environment.
One of the most impactful parts of the skit was the demonstration of proper waste segregation. Students clearly explained the use of different coloured bins for dry waste, wet waste, and recyclable materials. This simple yet powerful message encouraged the audience to follow the same practice at home and in school.
The skit ended with a strong reminder that protecting our planet starts with small steps. By keeping our surroundings clean, reducing waste, and making thoughtful choices, each one of us can contribute to a healthier and greener future.
The initiative by Grade 6A truly reflected awareness, teamwork, and social responsibility. It was a proud and inspiring moment for the entire GIIS Nagpur community, reminding us that young minds can create big change.
