GIIS Nagpur organised an engaging and thoughtfully curated Math Magic Activity Day for students from Pre-Primary to Grade 2, with the objective of making mathematics both enjoyable and meaningful through interactive learning experiences.
The event was designed to introduce young learners to mathematical concepts in an interactive and age-appropriate manner. Each activity aligned closely with classroom learning, ensuring that students were able to reinforce their understanding while actively participating in creative tasks.
Nursery students participated in a Number Activity, where they practiced number recognition and counting through engaging and playful exercises. K1 students explored a Shapes and Pattern Activity, enabling them to identify various shapes and understand patterns in an intuitive and enjoyable way.
K2 students were introduced to basic subtraction concepts through a Subtraction Activity that emphasised practical application, making learning both accessible and effective. Grade 1 students engaged in a Time Activity, where they created paper cup watches, transforming the concept of telling time into a hands-on and memorable experience. Meanwhile, Grade 2 students participated in the Shapes Make a Picture Activity, using geometric shapes to create imaginative visuals, thereby integrating mathematical concepts with creativity.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from all students, who approached each activity with curiosity and interest. It not only strengthened their conceptual understanding but also enhanced their confidence and encouraged a positive attitude towards mathematics.
