Dear Parents,
Greetings from GIIS, Nagpur!
As we look back at the month of January, I feel immense pride in the vibrant learning experiences and joyful moments our students at GIIS Nagpur have embraced. The month has been filled with creativity, celebrations, and opportunities that truly reflect our holistic approach to education.
Our young learners kicked off the month with the Global School Exchange (GSE) Programme, where KG1 students confidently showcased the culture, food, traditional attire, and dances of Maharashtra, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu. Our friends from GIIS Hadapsar shared the cultural highlights of Rajasthan and Gujarat, making the exchange an engaging and memorable learning experience. This initiative beautifully highlighted the spirit of Unity in Diversity and encouraged confidence, cultural awareness, and joyful participation.
Our Republic Day celebrations were filled with patriotism and pride. Students participated in ramp walks, cultural performances, and an engaging skit that reflected the importance of the Constitution and our shared values of unity, equality, and responsibility. The lively music and performances made learning about our nation’s heritage both fun and meaningful.
We also celebrated Vasant Panchami, dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. Our students actively participated in presentations and videos, understanding the significance of learning, wisdom, and new beginnings in an interactive way.
Our Kindergarten students had a blast during the Pink and Purple Colour Day, engaging in art, crafts, sorting activities, and group participation that enhanced creativity, vocabulary, fine motor skills, and confidence. Similarly, Grade 6A students took the lead during Waste Check Week, performing an informative skit that encouraged proper waste management and eco-friendly habits.
To inspire curiosity and communication skills, we celebrated World Radio Jockey Day, where Grade 8 students shared insights about the role of RJs in connecting people, spreading awareness, and keeping communities informed. This fun and educational session helped students appreciate the creativity, confidence, and effort behind the work of radio jockeys.
We are also thrilled to share that GIIS Nagpur has been awarded the “Best Infrastructure Award” by the Technical International Education Council (TIEC), Nagpur at EduXpo – Edubition 2025. This recognition reflects our commitment to providing a safe, inspiring, and future-ready learning environment for every student. My heartfelt gratitude goes to our teachers, parents, and students for their support in making this possible.
January has been a month full of learning, culture, creativity, and celebration. As we move forward, I look forward to more exciting experiences, achievements, and opportunities for our students to explore, grow, and shine.
Warm Regards
Nidhi Gupta
