Dear Parents,
Greetings from GIIS, Nagpur!
As we close the year 2024, I am delighted to share glimpses of the wonderful moments that made December truly special at GIIS Nagpur.
The month began with a delightful Fruit Kebab activity on December 2 for our Kindergarten 1 students, where they explored creativity, fine motor skills, and the joy of healthy eating. That same day, our young chefs participated in the Global School Exchange Cold Cooking Competition, crafting colourful Monaco Biscuit Sandwiches in collaboration with the Ahmedabad campus. The event fostered camaraderie and showcased the children’s creativity and enthusiasm.
On December 5, Thinking Thursday turned into a fascinating day of discovery as our Nursery to Grade 2 students experimented with Static Electricity. Using a ruler and paper, they learned the magic of attraction and repulsion in a fun, hands-on way.
The Joy of Giving on December 16 saw our youngest learners expressing heartfelt gratitude to community helpers through handmade thank-you badges, a gesture that nurtured compassion and appreciation in their growing minds.
December 17 brought the Math Magic Activity Day, where Pre-Primary to Grade 2 students engaged in exciting activities like number sorting, time-telling, and arranging the days of the week. Their enthusiasm for learning through play was a joy to witness.
On December 18, our students participated in a memorable storytelling session featuring "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Held at the Glendale Campus, the event combined songs, counting, and creative storytelling, leaving students inspired and enriched.
Sports Day, celebrated on December 21, was a grand spectacle of energy and teamwork. From spirited drills and athletic demonstrations to exciting track events and fun-filled parent races, the day reflected the essence of sportsmanship and unity. The synchronized performances and the House-wise March Past were a testament to the dedication of our students and teachers.
We concluded the year with a heartwarming Christmas celebration on December 23. The arrival of Santa Claus brought immense joy, as he danced and interacted with the students, spreading holiday cheer. A special assembly, festive activities, and the vibrant red attire of the children added to the magic of the day. It was a beautiful way to celebrate togetherness and end the year on a high note.
As we step into a new year, I want to thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Your support and encouragement continue to inspire us to create meaningful learning experiences for our students. May this festive season bring happiness and warmth to your family, and may the upcoming year be filled with health, joy, and prosperity.
Warm regards,
