GIIS Nagpur Students Thank Their Teachers with Skits, Songs, Dance and Handmade Roses

Teachers' Day at GIIS Nagpur was a loud and happy celebration. The multipurpose hall was brimming with laughter as students gathered to thank the teachers they spend their school days with.

Teachers' Day is observed in India to recognise the role teachers play in students' lives. At GIIS Nagpur, the students marked it by taking the stage themselves. They performed skits, danced and sang, and the teachers watched as the children put the programme together for them.

The students also gave their teachers cards and handmade roses. A card carries words a child chose to write, and a handmade rose takes time to make. Each of them was a personal gift, and each one was meant for a particular teacher.

Through all of it, the children cheered. On an ordinary school day, teachers are the ones asking for attention and keeping the room orderly. In the multipurpose hall, the students were the ones making the noise, and every bit of it was directed at their teachers. The cheering rose with each performance, and the laughter carried across the hall.

For parents, the celebration offered a simple picture of how students at GIIS Nagpur see their teachers. They performed for them, laughed with them and thanked them with cards and roses made by hand. Students who are comfortable enough to joke, sing and cheer in front of their teachers usually have a good relationship with them, and that was easy to see in the hall.

GIIS Nagpur thanks its teachers for the work they put in every day, and the school was glad to see the students return that effort with so much warmth.
