Hindi is not just a language; it is the heartbeat of Indian culture, literature, and tradition. As the most widely spoken language of India, Hindi connects people across regions, strengthens cultural identity, and preserves the wisdom of centuries. To honour this invaluable heritage, Global Indian International School (GIIS) Nagpur celebrated Hindi Divas with students from Grades 3 to 8, creating a joyful and inspiring atmosphere filled with learning and cultural pride.
The event, held in the MPH hall of GIIS Nagpur, was a vibrant showcase of students’ talent and enthusiasm. A special presentation was conducted on the theme ‘Poem Recitation and the Importance of Hindi Language’. Students actively participated in the poem recitation, presenting poems and doha with confidence, clarity, and expression.
The inclusion of couplets by great poets like Kabir, Rahim, and Tulsidas added depth to the programme, reminding everyone of the timeless values and wisdom embedded in Hindi literature. Through heartfelt verses and speeches, students highlighted how Hindi serves as a bridge between tradition and modernity, uniting the nation with its simplicity and beauty.
The event was not only a cultural celebration but also an opportunity for students to build public speaking skills, enhance self-expression, and develop a deep respect for their national language.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Nidhi Gupta, Principal of GIIS Nagpur, said, “Hindi Divas is not merely a celebration of a language, but an acknowledgement of the culture, history, and values it carries. At GIIS Nagpur, we encourage our students to embrace Hindi with pride while also fostering global perspectives. Events like these help our students connect with their roots, while nurturing confidence, creativity, and respect for tradition.”
The Hindi Divas celebration at GIIS Nagpur, with grades 3 to 8, was both educational and inspiring, leaving students with a renewed love for their language and heritage. By blending cultural values with holistic education, GIIS continues to nurture young learners into confident individuals who respect their traditions while preparing for a global future.
