INDORE, MAY, 2018 - Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore, organized a summer camp for students of KG-II to grades 12 in the school premises from 1st May, 2018 to 23rd May, 2018. The summer camp concluded with a magnificent ceremony leaving the audience wonderstruck and wanting for more. Dance presentations, yoga demonstration, karate demonstration, musical parody, art display, etc. made the summer camp closing an indelible memory for the audience and the chief guests - Mr. Sachin Kasture (NIS Coach, Indore) and Ms. Dipika Kamlesh Nachan (Member of Indore Municipal Corporation).
The summer camp had various activities like swimming, dancing, music, sports, art and craft, etc. for the kids to learn and master. A three day free workshop by Pedilite was also organized for the kids to learn the art of glass painting, t-shirt painting and thali decoration.
Around 70 students (including from GIIS and other schools) participated in the summer camp to make the most of their summer vacations. The summer camp was a perfect blend of practical based learning where the children got an opportunity to learn various aspects of education, aligned with the respective activity which had a positive effect on their physical, mental, emotional and physiological growth.
The 23 days summer camp had various activities like cricket, football, skating, dance, yoga, karate, Zumba, among many others, which allowed students to work on their overall personality. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Dipika Nachan shared her views on how participating in summer camp helps a child in improving his/her personality; she also shared her happiness on how children of today are getting such opportunities that add up to their learning abilities.
Dr. (Capt.) Dinisha Bhardawaj - Principal, GIIS Indore thanked parents for their undue support and the trust they have in the school management. The event ended on a positive note; a group photograph was taken and participation certificates were distributed to the students.
