GIIS hosts 64th S.G.F.I Inter-school Netball Tournament

INDORE, 7 SEPTEMBER, 2018 - For the first time ever, Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore hosted the S.G.F.I Inter-school Netball Tournament in its campus where 650 students from approx. 10 schools of the city participated in the Under-14 championship organized for both boys and girls.

It was the 64th SGFI tournament held for the netball game disciples. Gracing the occasion as guest of honour was Mr. Laxman Dateer - Net Ball Corporation Secretary (Indore) along with Principal, GIIS Indore. Students from various school participated with full vigour, practice and a true sporting spirit. The tournament was based on knockout method and 16 students (8 boys + 8 girls) from the campus participated to give their best and perform with utmost sincerity and fairness.

haring her happiness on the occasion, Dr. (Captain) Dinisha Bhardwaj inspired the budding netball players with her motivational speech as she encouraged each one present to give their best shot in every field of life. She said - "always give your 100% in whatever you do; do everything with all your heart and soul in it. In case you feel even slightest of the doubt, don’t do the task at all because a task done half-heartedly is as bad as a task not done at all."

GIIS Indore's U-14 girls' team reached the final stage of the tournament. Our girls played two matches against I.P.S Academy and Maa Umiya School, Indore. They won their first final match played by scoring 6 against 1 and lost their second match by a close margin of 1 goal, scoring 4 against 5.
