INDORE, 21 AUGUST, 2018 - Safety is one important deliverable that an institute must provide to its students. Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore is one such educational institute that makes sure that each child feels safe and self-sufficient/aware wherever they are.

To promote value of security and use of self-defence knowledge for the youth of today, Mr. Basant Sharma - Member of Indian Central Karate association along with his team imparted an informative session on knowledge on self-defence/security to the school students. He enlightened students that mishappenings can occur with both boys and girls. He further demonstrated few techniques like loosening hand grip, neck grip, waist grip, and the course of action that one must follow to escape in adverse situations.

Mr. Sharma further explained that girls should never have "let go" attitude for situations that make them uncomfortable; they must inform any inappropriate situation to their teachers and parents depending upon the area they are in.

Speaking to the children, Principal, GIIS Indore advised them to be alert and informed about the surroundings, and help their fellow classmates to feel secure while being at home, in school, or outside.
