The first day of school is a mixture of anxiety and excitement not only for a child but also for parents and teachers. The day marks the beginning of the most important phase of a child’s life.

It was a celebration time for the Pre-primary wing of the school as the new joiners joined the campus to begin their formal education. Hustle and bustle was all around and the school wore a cheerful look as little feet marched towards their classes with big smiles and enthusiasm on their face.

The classes were vibrant; teachers had decorated the classes’ with balloons, festoons, ribbons, creative bulletin boards, etc. in order to welcome and cheer up the tiny tots, and to create a pleasant and cordial atmosphere for them as they walked towards their classrooms. The children received a warm welcome from the teachers which made their first day smooth and memorable.

Different activities were conducted in all the class rooms, where teachers gave welcome cards to each student as a token of love. They shared stories and played different games to make them comfortable. Each student enjoyed the welcome drink given to make their beginning all the more special. Activities around three “S” words - what will it take to make the classroom a fun place for all students to feel Safe, Smart and Special, were also conducted.
