Indore's famous Ranjit Singh - the 'moonwalking cop' shares importance of road safety on the occasion of traffic safety week

Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore organized a workshop to educate students of school on the importance of traffic rules and invited the traffic cop, Mr. Ranjeet Singh, who is also a style icon of Indore. It was a workshop where the moonwalking cop interacted with the school students on the occasion of “Traffic Safety Week”.

Mr. Ranjeet Singh is famous for controlling the traffic with his exceptional dancing style on the streets of Indore. While interacting with the students he advised them to be a good human being first which would ultimately lead them to the right path and discourage them from doing wrong. He also laid emphasis on importance of following traffic rules and how disobeying them can lead to life threatening situations. He further added the role of an Individual’s character in determining one’s behavior on road.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rajeev Katyal, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Global Indian International School said, “As part of Traffic Safety Week, we planned to educate our students about traffic rules and the need for leadership qualities. Nobody better than Mr. Ranjeet Singh could have demonstrated the importance of traffic and safety. We are happy that he interacted with our students in his usual entertaining style and gave our students an opportunity to take inspiration and learn from him.”

A social media phenomenon with nearly 50,000 people following his activities on Facebook, Mr. Ranjeet even demonstrated his unique style of working to the students. With his exceptional style of working, he has been able to create a difference in controlling traffic and leading the young cops to follow his style to control traffic.

His presentational skills engaged students throughout the event and they came out with an understanding of traffic rules and a sense of leadership. We are sure that the session will help our students in becoming responsible citizens and more cautious on road, as safety is a phenomenon to be practiced regularly in life.
