Innovation Week fun brought smiles in the eyes of kindergarteners

"Innovation is taking two things that exist and putting them together in a new way."

Early this month, Innovation Week was celebrated at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Bannerghatta Campus for the pre-primary segment, wherein the goal was to create awareness among the children to explore new ideas and make new decisions that make the world a better place and make their place in the world better too. The children learned to find new outcomes and also learned to think out of the box.

On day 1, the activity was around making footprints for which the nursery kids did that of a chicken, KG1 did a foot-printing activity of a honeybee, and KG2 enjoyed doing the same of a butterfly. On day 2, all the girls of pre-primary classes enjoyed weaving a pasta necklace, and all the boys had fun making pasta bracelet. The day was equally interesting, and the kids were made to create a stress ball out of water beads/ rice/ flour/ kinetic sand. On day 3, the children made potato stamps and did stamping with different designs, leaving them amazed. The innovation week concluded with kids making a catapult out of daily-used items from home.

The Innovation week was loved by all the children, and parents were high praises for teachers who had organized such wonderful activities to engage the children and help them learn things in an innovative and interactive way.
