GIIS Bannerghatta SMART Campus was awarded the prestigious CII MILCA GOLD award in the 'School Category' at the CII MILCA (Most Innovative Low-Cost Automation) AWARD 2020 - National Award for Academia (virtual) held on 23rd December 2020. Our students Chethas and Likhit of Grade 5 were smart and confident to showcase 'Learning in Nature's nest' with all the key highlights of our sprawling green SMART campus and giving a glimpse into all the latest technology used in the school as smart boards, facial recognition for attendance and so on. They were mentored by Ms. Binu Priscilla, our Science teacher, and Dr. Sharmila Mallick Choudhuri, our Principal rendered all the support and motivation to our students.

Our theme “Learning in Nature’s Nest” resonates highly with the necessity in today’s world of education for a sustainable future. An amalgamation of nature and innovation is what you would behold as we take you into our Nature’s Nest. The school provided an environment that strives towards overall excellence in environmental education for the future of our country. The sprawling greenery in and around our school has a definite positive effect on the health and well-being of children and the staff. Taking the advantages of technology and morphing them with original teaching methods, has paved the way to an innovative way of education, keeping the essence of learning intact. GIIS Bannerghatta plays a pivotal role in inculcating the Green Curriculum as children spend most of their time in schools. With Nature on our side, we also incorporated Smart teaching into our curriculum. When there is a perfect balance of nature and technology, learning translates into increased productivity and enhanced student performance.

The presentation by our students was highly appreciated by the judges. This has been a great learning experience and has paved the way for many more such laurels!

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) hosted the online CII MILCA AWARD 2020 - National Award for Academia in order to foster the sense of innovation, creativity, and to keep the academia more agile about the Industry practices and skillsets required by the future workforce, in Digital Transformation era. ? The objective of this award was to provide an international platform for the exchange of ideas, innovative practices and inventions done by academia in the field of Digital Science.
