GIIS Bannerghatta’s wonderful accomplishments and memories of February 2024

Dear Parents,

Greetings!

As we bid farewell to another enriching month at GIIS, Bannerghatta, I am thrilled to share the wonderful accomplishments and memories that have made February truly special for our school community.

GIIS Bannerghatta students have once again demonstrated their academic prowess by clinching an impressive total of 14 gold medals of excellence in the SOF Science Olympiad -11 gold medals of excellence and 1 gold medal of distinction; we take immense pride in their achievements.

Additionally, our martial arts enthusiasts have brought glory to our school by earning two prestigious awards for their exceptional performance in Karate.

In the realm of sports, we are delighted to announce that Navya Bidasaria from K2 'A' has emerged victorious in the Mother Mary Inter School Skating Competition, securing the coveted first position.

Shifting our focus to the exciting events that unfolded throughout the month, Grade I to V students had a delightful day at Big Barn Nature Camp, where they explored farm life under the guidance of camp staff. They planted seeds, fed cows, interacted with various animals, and enjoyed feeding colourful fish in the pond. A tractor ride added to their excitement before they returned home with hearts full of gratitude.

Furthermore, our students of III to VIII came together to celebrate ‘Rejuvenight 2’, an evening filled with pottery, games, movies, stargazing, trekking and rejuvenation. It was a joyous occasion for our students to bond and create lasting memories together.

Our much-anticipated ‘Kaalamagaha’, 5th Annual Day Celebration was nothing short of spectacular – a vibrant tapestry of life, energy, culture, and heritage woven together in a dazzling display of talent and creativity. From the moment the curtains rose, the stage came alive with a kaleidoscope of performances, each one more mesmerizing than the last.

Our young learners from the pre-primary section enjoyed a variety of engaging activities this month, including Sun Gazing, Black and White Day, Moulding Minds, a student exchange programme with Maple Bear Pre-School, invited collaborative activities through pottery, pickers card quiz show, and puppetry on ‘Red Riding Hood’. These initiatives not only fostered creativity and exploration but also instilled a love for learning in our little ones.

As we reflect on the successes and milestones of the past month, I extend my sincere gratitude to our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students. Together, we continue to strive for excellence and create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Here’s to February marked by memorable celebrations, parent testimonials, joyful gatherings and a sense of warmth and togetherness throughout.

Warm regards,

Tr. Girish R Arabbi
