GIIS Ahmedabad opens up its classrooms for Grade 10 & 12 Students with all safety measures in place

GIIS Ahmedabad has successfully started offline classes from 25th January 2021 onwards for the students of Grades 10 and 12 with a positive response from both students and parents.  Meticulous day-wise sessions have been planned for the Board students. Besides this, the school is also conducting online classes for pre-primary to Grade 12 students since March 2020.

Following the proper guidelines issued by the GOI, the classrooms have been arranged to accommodate a batch of 15 students each, as per social distancing. The classrooms are being sanitized at regular intervals, with all necessary safety measures intact.

On the first day, about 22 students of Grade 10 attended the practicals as well as revision and doubt solving classes. The school had recorded 88% attendance at the practical session organised for the students of Grade 12, Science stream.

The Specific subject teachers are conducting the classes on both online and offline mode from the school, making the best use of the tools and technologies made available to them.

Even though all the Practicals were already conducted on a virtual platform through O-Labs, the students expressed their contentment in getting firsthand experience of the same. They also gave the feedback that the school’s initiative of arranging doubt-solving and practicals sessions with a personal touch is unparalleled.

Since March 2020, students and teachers are interacting virtually via online classes but it has not decreased the bond between the two, infact it has raised the level of bond/interaction during the offline classes.

The virtual classes have strengthened the bond between the teacher and their students, which we have observed in our offline classes. The level of interaction between the two has increased tremendously.

Being a responsible organisation, we are stringently following all the necessary COVID-19 guidelines.

Principal Mr. Caesar D'silva interacted with the students on the first day and motivated them to make the most of this opportunity provided by the school.

We are grateful to the parents' fraternity for supporting and trusting us in these difficult times and encouraging and supporting us in taking the right steps that are meant for the benefit of our students.
