When over twenty schools from across Gujarat and Maharashtra gathered in our GIIS Ahmedabad campus on 21st and 22nd August 2026, the energy was electrifying. Our doors swung open, welcoming students, parents, and teachers for the landmark Wood Anniversary of our flagship event, GIIS IDEATE 5.0.

This edition celebrated five years of nurturing design, expression, art, technology, and engineering. What started half a decade ago as a modest local initiative has officially grown into a powerful regional tradition, uniting young thinkers, educators, and families under one common passion for creativity.

The heart of IDEATE 5.0 lies in its rare ability to spark joy across every generation. Spanning 31 meticulously designed activities over two action-packed days, the event created a cosy space where learning knew no age limit. 

Day one kicked off with incredible energy as tiny tots took the stage in Tapping Feet, captivating the audience with their synchronised moves. The rhythm carried straight into day two with Soulful Shakers, where primary & secondary students mesmerised everyone through powerful, expressive dance performances.

Beyond the stage, kindergarteners charmed audiences with imaginative character concepts, while primary and middle schoolers brought complex science models and ancient folklore to life. Senior students took centre stage with future-focused app development, innovative business pitches, and thought-provoking debates on 21st-century challenges.

In a refreshing twist that truly warmed hearts, parents and teachers also jumped into the action, competing in live singing, regional culinary challenges, and digital storytelling. This complete family participation transformed the event into a living celebration of lifelong learning.

Among the impressive field of competitors, several institutions stood out by sweeping multiple trophies across various age divisions. SVKM Dhule, St. Joseph's High School, Khanusa, DPS Bopal, Anand Niketan Sughad, SGVP, Udgam, DAV, LML, and Natkhat Pre-School were among the notable schools whose exceptional talent illuminated the podium during our grand valedictory ceremony. 

Their participation, enthusiasm, and dedication reminded everyone present of the incredible potential waiting to be unlocked within our regional academic community.

The friendly competition throughout the festival was inspiring, with participants pouring their souls into every performance.

As we look back on this memorable fifth milestone, GIIS Ahmedabad extends a heartfelt thank you to every single school, mentor, participant, and family member who graced us with their presence. Your energy, warmth, and collaborative spirit made IDEATE 5.0 an unforgettable celebration of togetherness.

The journey doesn’t end here. We warmly invite all our returning partner schools and extend an open invitation to new educational institutions across the region to join us for the 6th edition next year, where we will once again shape tomorrow's visionaries together.
