Inspired by this powerful thought and providing a platform to the champions, GIIS Ahmedabad successfully hosted Inter-School Sports Fest 2.0, bringing together young athletes in a vibrant celebration of teamwork, determination, and sporting excellence. 

The two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 32 reputed schools across Ahmedabad, including Delhi Public School (Bopal), Anand Niketan (Satellite and Sarkhej), Udgam School for Children, Lalji Mehrotra Lions School, MGIS, GGIS, and many more. With over 600 students competing, the Fest stood as a strong example of holistic education through sports.

The GIIS campus transformed into an energetic sporting arena as students showcased their skills across Chess, Basketball, and Football. Beyond competition, the event emphasised discipline, resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship - values essential for all-round student development. 

The Chess tournament saw 102 students competing in Group A and Group B, demonstrating sharp analytical skills and mental endurance. The Basketball competition featured 262 players from 23 teams, participating in U-12 Boys, U-15 Boys, and U-15 Girls. Fast-paced matches highlighted teamwork, agility, and strategic play.

Similarly, the Football tournament brought together 278 players from 26 teams, competing in U-12 Boys, U-15 Boys, and U-15 Girls categories. High-energy matches reflected coordination, speed, and tactical discipline.

With consistent performance across all three sports, GIIS Ahmedabad was recognised as the Overall Champion School, reinforcing its strong sporting culture and commitment to excellence.

The Anand Niketan, Satellite team noted that such inter-school platforms play a crucial role in building confidence, discipline and a healthy competitive spirit among students.

“Competing at the Sports Fest was a motivating experience. Playing alongside talented teams strengthened our teamwork and self-belief,” shared Vinayak Pathak, a player from the GIIS Ahmedabad Basketball team.
