The morning sun brought a wave of pure magic to GIIS Ahmedabad as our youngest learners took centre stage. The Grade 1 Morning Shift assembly, brilliantly presented by the talented students of Grade 1A, turned the multi-purpose Hall into a vibrant canvas of creativity. The theme of the assembly was centred around "The Power of Imagination & Play." Our artistic performers reminded everyone in attendance of the simple, irreplaceable joy of being a child.

The event began with a quiet, grounding moment. Before the excitement unfolded, one teacher guided the entire hall through a soothing breathing exercise and meditation session, highlighting the importance of starting the day with a mindful, focused spirit.

As the calm faded, an energetic spark took over. A young child confidently stepped up to the microphone and delivered a flawless English song without a single fumble or mistake. His performance set an inviting tone for the morning, encouraging his peers to sing along and ensuring that every mind in the room was fully awake and present.

Following this musical boost, two charming and confident student anchors officially welcomed the audience, sharing a powerful thought on how imagination fuels childhood growth.

The stage then came alive with a graceful dance performance. Blending classical elegance with a contemporary touch, the young dancers dedicated their poised movements to the gods and goddesses, filling the hall with a serene, divine energy.

But the heart of the assembly lay in its storytelling. Through a thought-provoking skit, the children explored how imagination shapes our daily lives. It transitioned into a hilarious act called "Magic Imagination Googles," where students dressed up in colourful toy attire. Through their playful performance, they delivered a meaningful message about how toy designers use their own creativity to invent toys that, in turn, stretch and broaden a child's own imagination.

Just when the audience thought the morning could not get any livelier, the energetic beats of hip-hop took over. The Grade 1 dancers delivered an absolutely jaw-dropping performance, showcasing stunning athletic moves, incredible flexibility, and even impressive backflips. Their electrifying energy got the entire audience grooving in their seats.

Closing the wonderful morning, our Principal, Mr. Caesar D'Silva, shared his heartfelt appreciation for the young performers, admitting he was stunned by their athletic talents and backflips. He urged the children to enjoy this golden childhood phase and to live it to the absolute fullest. He reminded them that this precious time of play and wonder won't come back
