The morning shift students of Grade 7A presented an insightful assembly centred on the theme Artificial Intelligence: Friend or Foe. It filled everyone with intellectual curiosity and enthusiastic energy. The presentation provided a thought-provoking exploration of modern technology, challenging students to reflect on the role of automated intelligence in daily life.

The assembly began with an interactive digital quiz hosted by student anchors, who displayed projected images to test the audience's ability to distinguish between real and computer-generated visuals. This engaging opening energised the students. It transitioned into the morning prayer, a thought for the day, and national and international news headlines. 

Following the opening routines, students delivered an informative presentation covering key facts, foundational concepts, and different types of artificial intelligence. They discussed practical applications of AI across various industry verticals and its future trends. This subtly aligns with the former eBay CEO Devin Wenig, who stated that without an AI strategy, one cannot survive in the coming world. Moreover, students candidly addressed demerits such as high infrastructure expenses and potential data discrepancies.

The assembly seamlessly blended educational content with artistic talent. Student performer Hitansh impressed the audience with a musical showcase on the tabla, demonstrating remarkable dexterity and skill. A dynamic dance performance followed, artistically depicting the ongoing debate surrounding human capability versus machine intelligence. 

The theme was further illustrated through an engaging drama skit where students portrayed the merits and drawbacks of digital tools. Through their theatrical performance, students advised their peers to utilise technology to generate ideas, understand concepts, prepare question banks, and clarify doubts. It perfectly embodies the words of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who emphasised that AI will not replace humans, but humans who use AI will replace those who do not. Students also cautioned against overreliance on systems that lack human emotion and nuance.

Principal Mr Caesar D'Silva appreciated the students for choosing such a relevant, forward-thinking topic and executing a stellar presentation. He encouraged everyone to remain cautious regarding technological risks and to use modern tools with intention and care. 

Coordinator Mr Umesh Sharma shared valuable perspectives on maintaining a balanced relationship with digital systems. He urged students never to overlook AI technical limitations, emphasising that artificial intelligence should be leveraged thoughtfully in areas where human capacity is limited, while human judgement must lead where technology falls short.
