The Annual Sports Day 2022-23 for primary and secondary classes of GIIS Balewadi was held on February 25 in  school grounds. The Sports Meet was declared open with the school flag hoisting ceremony by our chief guest, GMP Academic Head, Ms. Vaishali Borde and principal sir, Dr. NKP Ashok Raj. The event began with the march past and oath taking ceremony which was led by Headboy, Zaemudin. The day’s events were set to motion after the motivational speech of the guests of honor. 

Middle school students  presented the welcome song followed by PT drill by primary classes. The flow of events was followed by various races of the primary grades. There were hurdle, one legged and sac races for both boys and girls. The event witnessed parents in a large numbers and filled the ground with loud cheers for their participating wards. Middle level classes also had races, like 50m and 100m and sac races for boys and girls. There were also performances as taekwondo in Korean form, a dance number  by senior classes, a chess drill where kids enacted a match on a life size chess board. 

After completion of each level, students were recognized for their wonderful performances in the races along with different competitions for the academic year 22-23. After a series of events, it was time to announce the best house and with a great level of show and zeal, ORCHID house took the annual trophy home!!
