'Affinity-The Real Bonding' the annual day of the Secondary section was held at GIIS Smart Campus Balewadi on Monday, 21st March 2022.

The annual day forms an integral part of the activities at GIIS Balewadi. It is an occasion of celebration and felicitation when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.

The host of the event was Tanisi Chavan while the co-host was Aditya Salgaonkar, who took the audience through the amazing journey of relationship.

The Guest of Honour of the event was Ms Vaishali Borde, Head- GMP and Co-scholastics.

The programme started with the Saraswati Vandana and the virtual lighting of the lamp. This was followed by the speeches of Ms Vaishali Borde and Dr N. K.P. Ashok Raj, Principal, GIIS Smart Campus Balewadi.

After the speeches, the students came out with a splendid welcome song performance which kept everyone glued to their screens.

The excitement continued with the students presenting a Welcome Dance on the song ‘Gannayakay.’

The students took centre stage with the Sibling Relationship dance which reflected the bond between a brother and sister. This bond is indeed a true blessing, and fortunate are the ones who have it with someone. This seesaw of a sibling relationship is balanced by the love and trust you have for each other.

It was then time for the Grandparents' Skit through which the message of love for grandparents was passed on by the students.

After the skit, the students presented a dance and song mashup titled – ‘Friends’. It showcased the most important bond a person has. It is not a family that is associated with you by blood, but a family you choose for yourself. A friend is a metaphor for a mirror who shows you your true self - unfiltered, who stands by you and never leaves you like a shadow.

The students then presented an instrumental performance titled - ‘Society Helper’ (Mime) which marked the end of the event.  Aditya Salgaonkar then gave the vote of thanks.

The annual day turned out to be a memorable function that everyone enjoyed. It brought a sense of achievement to all.
