Little eco-activists of GIIS Hadapsar learned about the importance of biodegradable products

The Primary students (Grade 1&2) of the Global Indian International School, Smart Campus Hadapsar celebrated Paper Bag Day on 12th July’21.

The children were familiarized with the bag-making factory, and they were also educated on the importance and benefits of using paper bags through a video presentation during the virtual class. Furthermore, students were also explained how the usage of paper bags instead of plastic bags can help in reducing the huge burden on Mother Earth. They also learned how we can contribute our bit by using paper bags which are easily degradable without impacting the environment. Students utilized their creativity skills, which they took most pride in, showcasing to everyone around.

The little eco-activists also crafted wonderful puppets made out of waste papers and learned how they can be made organically through the usage of biodegradable resources such as Cow dung and elephant poop.

The little wonders immensely enjoyed the overall session. They will even be presenting a short story in their next class using their puppets. The objective behind conducting this activity was to also make them understand about the impact of non-biodegradable substances on our mother earth and their adverse impact on the environment.
