Let us rewind the GIIS Balewadi accomplishments for the academic year 2022-23

The end of March announces an end to the academic year 2022-23. It was the first session post-Covid that enlivened the school premises after a gap of two years with the hustle and bustle of students moving around the corridors and playing in the school ground.

 

We had the fantabulous academic year 2022-23. Coming back to our routine, the school began operations with high hopes and energy. With the endless support of parents and teachers, we were able to organize many different activities at the school level, national, and international levels. We soared high and thrived our way into a success! 

 

GIIS Balewadi participated and scored many positions in inter GIIS competitions like, clay modeling (GMP- ranked I), coding (GMP- ranked II), quiz (GMP- ranked II), and storytelling (GMP- ranked I and III) competitions. The school also scored well in international competitions like, in Global Student Summit’ 22, Dubai, Aditi Talathi stood II in Elocution. Gempak Veganza also witnessed our wins such as under the Primary segment our student Abir Ingale stood II in Science Bowl, Avyay Chittora, and Vivaan Sinha, Kashi Upadhyay II in Tongue Twister, Arjun Krunal Kale III in Lakaran Si Kecil Young Artisans. In the Secondary segment, Abhya Singh, Sanjana Jennifer Punshi stood III, and Dhriti Bhatia, Vedant Sinha, Ishwari Bansode , and Tanishka Nagnath Whatka scored II in Anugerah Dance. Pritika Srivastava stood II in Catchall Spoken Word Poetry.

 

In the Weave a Tale competition hosted by Singapore, Avyay Chittora stood III and won prizes as Best Entertainer and Best Story. In RWCC Singapore, the GMP segment stood II in Dramatize, Abhishek K, Aaryan, and Piyush scored III in the AdzApp competition and Chetan M scored II in Live it Click it Share It

 

Atharv Dubey of Grade 2-E, bagged 2 Gold Medals in the JKNSK India National Karate-Do Championship, organized in Pune with participants from all over India. He represented the 8-year age group category in the two main events, Kata and Kumite.


GIIS Balewadi also hosted RWCC India which is another feather on our cap, and emerged as the second winner in overall championship.The event was a success in terms of high participation the event had received. GIIS of all geographies took part in the event, like, GIIS Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, East Coast, Noida, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Hadapsar. In the event, Ananya Patil & Leisha Parekh scored II in Intellectual Combat, Soumik Biswas scored I in Graffiti, Ayan Choudhary, Jaiditya Pujari, Sparsh Kotgire, Yatharth Rajvanshi stood II in Junkyard, and GMP stood I in Dramatize yet again.
