The pre-primary wing of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Balewadi, Smart Campus celebrated purple day to reinforce the color’s concept in the minds of the little ones. Various activities were conducted to demonstrate how these colors add beauty to the things around us. 

Teachers shared some interesting facts about the color purple and how it related to the future, imagination, dreams, and spirituality. The celebrations conducted had students dressed up in purple colored outfits along with their favorite toys in hand. Children were extremely happy and cheerful to be wearing beautiful purple colored outfits. They even spoke a few lines on the theme. The main motive behind the celebrations was to educate and make our little stars understand the difference between various colors. 

Our little stars did finger painting using various shades of purple as instructed by their teachers. They were made to identify things and make art projects on the theme during the virtual session. Children got an opportunity to learn color making using different colors i.e. they learned how red and blue colors make purple when mixed together.

Numerous activities like vegetable painting, finger painting, and PowerPoint presentation (PPT) on the theme kept the students engaged throughout. The activities conducted to reinforce the color helped our tiny tots in enhancing their creative, imaginative, and gross motor skills. 

It was indeed great fun to watch the students enjoying the activities that made their day enjoyable and memorable.​
