Holy Moly December

The month of December recognized the talents of budding GIISians and was nurtured by their mentors to enhance them further. The appreciation and recognition of students were marked for the activities they had wonderfully participated in in this session. Certificates were distributed for their Participation and the best performances in Dance, fancy dress competitions, Hindi/English Storytelling, math quizzes, etc.

I-Care activities were conducted like understanding renewable resources and how they sustain us through the project of Windmill. Math Magic activities like physically learning the concept of Addition, before-after, completing patterns, rather than counting on fingers. This helped them establish a strong foundation of process skills which ultimately lead to proficient reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills. Thinking Thursday activities like water changing its colors on adding each ingredient like, turmeric, lemon, and detergent powder made them curious and more active in their thinking and reasoning skills.

Students from GMP to Grade XII visited on their respective field trips and learned the in-house process of things ultimately getting produced. How resources and manpower makes raw materials into a final product that we see in the market. They visited the Fire Brigade museum, Milkmaid factory, Science Park, and Fixtures Manufacturing company.

The highlight of the month is the Investiture ceremony. It was the icing on the cake for students to be the flag bearers and badge holders. With great power comes great responsibilities, and this would make them sincere in the endeavors they take to be great leaders.

By the end of the month, each class celebrated Christmas exuberantly and made the month Jolly molly. There was a dance, singing, feasting, hopping and everything to enjoy.

I wish every child and their parents a very Happy Holidays, may the year 2023 bestows prosperity and light on you.

In the end, I’d thank the staff and teachers for making GIIS what it is.

Principal,
