A Fun Filled November

Even though the festive season was in the last month, November has been an occupied month throughout. The beginning was celebrated as Unity Day commemorating the birth anniversary of Sr. Vallabhbhai Patel and his contributions to our country. It was followed by the guidelines of CBSE as each school affiliated had to be a part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Herein students as well as teachers took part and performed speeches and presentations for the same. This followed by another fun activity for children on their special day, Children’s day. Each class celebrated in their own ways with GMP students enjoying it the most. This day, their teachers had sung and performed for them, as well as children got to dance and goof around in the assembly. Grade I and II made photoframes with icecream sticks, whereas III to V crafted finger puppets. Secondary classes conducted assemblies on the occasion, presenting speeches and presentations on JawaharLal Nehru, and his love for the children.

November14 commenced as a busy week for grade I-V. They had it as a Science week and also a dance competition. For the former, students went all their way to exhibit Science. Along with presentations and Science Talk, they had prepared working models as windmills showing the complete process of production of electricity, remote cars, Sun dial, etc. And the latter brought a sense of satisfaction and joy in them. Grade I and II had performed dance on Freestyle and III to V did it on Folk. The Grand Finale for the same was on November 22 and 23 and to say, it was a tough one with a close competition.

In November, the GMP section also conducted a Phonics workshop for the parents. It was held in two batches. Parents were informed and learned about the sounds and pronunciation of letters, for they are the first teachers of children and they ought to know what their kids are studying and be an example for them. This month was also a month for commencement of Special Assemblies. Primary, Middle and secondary grades, each one had their special assemblies on different and must discussed themes, like, “kindness’, “Time Management’, etc

Up until we’ve reached halfway through November. Whole school had their time this month at the school field trips. The GMP section went to the Fire brigade museum where they had a blast witnessing so many types of tools and equipment and an enactment by the firemen of an emergency scenario for them. Grade I and II went to the Milkmaid factory whereas III to VIII were up for Science Park. Each class in their respective field trips had seen something they hadn’t experienced before. Like they didn’t know how much of the manpower and labor goes behind the bakery that reaches their homes, or witnessing Science that they read in the books, happening in real life!

With this, a few international events were also held, wherein our students participated and won our hearts and prizes as well. In the Global Student Summit, 2022 conducted by GIIS Abu Dhabi, Aditi Talathi secured IInd position. GEMPAK VAGANZA conducted by GIIS Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, our students- Ayaansh Sahu (I-E), Kaashvi Upadhyay(II-A), Arjun Krunal Kale(V-B), Avyay Chittora, Vivaan Sinha, Abir Ingale (IV-V), Abhya Singh,Sanjana Jennifer Punshi(VII-B), Dhriti Bhatia, Vedant Sinha, Ishwari Bansode, Tanishka Nagnath Whatkar(IX-X) secured top three positions. Real World Challenges Convention, 2022 conducted by GIIS Singapore, students Abhishek K, Aaryan, Piyush(X), Chetan M(IX), Eshani, Ayushi, Ayaansh, Shounak, Abeer, Rishabh and parents (GMP) as well secured top three positions.

I extend heartfelt congratulations to them for performing extraordinarily and making their parents and school proudWith this, November has been an achiever. Students learned and enjoyed themselves. I’d wish them All the Best for upcoming examinations and hope they excel at them.

I’d also thank all the teachers and staff for their thorough contribution in what they do.
