Global Centre of Education Excellence (GCEE) At Singapore

We are very excited about taking GIIS into the next phase of globalization by bringing about international standards in education excellence at every single school.

We’re very pleased to announce the commencement of the “GLOBAL CENTRE OF EDUCATION EXCELLENCE” (GCEE) at Singapore. The GCEE has been setup with a mission to impart and institutionalize global standards and quality in Education across all Global Indian International Schools. The GCEE will be also be providing consultancy in education excellence to other schools such as Robert Bosch schools in Turkey and other schools in Asia and Middle East countries.

The GCEE will be adapting the “GLOBAL EDUCATION EXCELLENCE MODEL“ which combines the best of Malcolm Baldrige criteria, EFQM and Deming models for school education and encompasses the learning experiences in implementing various excellence models across 60 schools.

The GCEE centre is headed by Mr. B G Shenoy, as DirectorEducation Excellence, who comes with over 31 years of experience in quality and teaching. Mr. Shenoy formerly worked with Tata Steel and was instrumental in driving implementation of the Tata Steel Education Excellence Model at more than 70 schools across 11 cities in India. Mr. B.G. Shenoy has received various quality certifications such as ISO Lead Assessor (Cranfield University, U K) , Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) External Assessor, OSHAS Auditor, UGC / NAAC Industry Observer for St. Xavier’s, Ranchi, IMC RB NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD ASSESSOR. Mr. Shenoy has authored FOUR Education Excellence Models and has lead Schools to win several international awards. During the last 4 years, he has assessed more than 51 Educational institutions and had his initial software and quality training at TOSHIBA (Japan).

Mr. Shenoy has won several individual awards and helped schools win international awards and the DEMING award for Quality Circle. In March 2008, Mr. Shenoy was co-recipient of India’s prestigious NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD (SPECIAL AWARD FOR PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE) FOR 2007 awarded by the IMC Mumbai, for implementing Education Excellence at Carmel Junior College (Jamshedpur). The School scored 721 / 1000 under the guidance of Mr.B.G.Shenoy against the Malcolm Baldrige Education Criteria of IMC RBN QA.
