IBDP Results 2026: GIIS Tokyo Celebrates Academic Excellence

Students of GIIS Tokyo have once again demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations, the results of which were announced on 6 July 2026. With a strong showing of high scorers, the results reflect the school’s dedication to academic excellence and a student-centric, globally focused learning environment.

The overall school performance was marked by a school average of 33.5 points, with a record high top score of 44 points, showcasing the school’s commitment to quality instruction, personal mentoring, and a future-ready curriculum. Core subjects such as Japanese Ab Initio, Japanese B, Economics, and Business Management saw particularly strong results, underlining the well-rounded academic preparedness of this year’s graduating cohort.

Commending the students on their achievements, Principal Ms. Prerna Mannan shared:

"I am incredibly proud of our 2026 cohort for their unwavering dedication and passion for learning. These achievements are a testament to their hard work and the collaborative, supportive spirit of their teachers and mentors. Congratulations to the students, teachers, parents and the entire GIIS Community. 

The IBDP faculty, along with the IBDP Coordinator, Mr. Seth Howerton, played a crucial role in mentoring students, supporting their Extended Essay and TOK requirements, and guiding them through university preparation.

Our students have achieved outstanding results across a range of IB Diploma Programme subjects, demonstrating the strength of GIIS Tokyo’s holistic, learner-centred, and globally aligned education system. In Group 2, which includes Japanese B HL/SL and Japanese Ab Initio, a remarkable number of top scores were recorded — a result that deserves special applause, highlighting both linguistic proficiency and cultural depth. Group 3 subjects—Business Management HL/SL and Economics HL/SL—saw 7 top scores, reflecting our emphasis on real-world application and global awareness. These achievements reflect the success of our future-ready curriculum, experienced faculty, and the nurturing academic environment that empowers GIIS Tokyo students to thrive across disciplines.
