GIIS Bangalore conducted a summer camp for students of all age groups. There were interesting activities lined up for them to ensure that every child will take back a smile along with learning sessions. With the vacation time for all the GIISians in Bangalore, a bunch of happy students came to school for two weeks to make the most of the Summer Camp. They enjoyed the classes that they had opted for and showed complete involvement each day. Since every day, they had something new to learn and explore, there was no room for boredom at all.
The Art and Craft classes for children unleashed the imaginative side of the students. With daily surprises in store, the young minds enjoyed making the creative and colourful artwork. They made paper lanterns, planes, animals and many more interesting things out of paper. Drawing and colouring was fun and each of them loved their masterpiece of art.
The little children loved hip hop and the trendy dances using pompoms and Hula hoops. The musical world was like a wonderful expression of their happiness and this was seen in the perfect moves of the children as the classes proceeded.
Swimming in the summer is soothing. The tiny ones in the pool, splashed water, in ultimate agreement to their love for playing in the pool. They truly enjoyed their time in the pool under the supervision of their pool trainer. Splashing water and learning the swimming basics playfully yet carefully, made their pool days super cool.
In the Yoga classes, the kids did basic exercises for flexibility and body movements and learned the power of silence through meditation. The Edu Sports teachers taught table- tennis, football and cricket to the students. The necessity of warm up and basic exercises also made their hand and leg movements agile while playing the games.
The enthusiasm of Global Indian International School (GIIS) students, all throughout the Summer Camp was high and they never ever missed a class. Upon asking a few children about their experience, they said, "I loved craft materials and colors; I enjoyed playing table tennis with my friends here; I loved cricket and I can answer IPL match related questions on batting now; I love my princess crown."
GIIS Bangalore Summer Camp is definitely a much awaited event every year and the children rejoice coming to school even during their vacation time.
