For the love of sports and physical fitness, Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore recently launched the Chandu Borde Global Cricket Academy (CBGCA) and Global Football Academy (GFA) in the premises with sheer enthusiasm and celebrations. Mr. Om Soni - President of Ispora and Secretary for M.P. TT Association graced the inauguration ceremony along with Mr. Rajiv Bansal – Director Operations, GIIS India.
Mr. Abhishek Mukherjee - Sr. Manager, GIIS India also accompanied the guest of honours for the launch. The inaugural ceremony was conducted in the ground area of the campus to let students of the respective academies play and practice their heart out.
Students at every GIIS campus have access to world class sport training facilities and a wide range of options to choose from. Since students of GIIS Indore campus have major following and liking towards cricket and football, and over the years the teams have bagged many prestigious awards in these sports, it was imperative to have formal academies and encourage further skill development.
The inauguration ceremony began with felicitation of the guests with lot of enthusiasm and a round of applause by the spectators. The academies were declared open as the ribbon was cut by the honourable chief guests. Students thereafter had their first amazing game on the newly inaugurated pitches.
Mr. Om Soni, while addressing the budding sportsmen in his speech, appreciated the efforts and steps taken by the school team for aspiring sports enthusiasts, and providing them with a platform to succeed in the fields of cricket and football. Taking his thoughts further, Mr. Rajiv Bansal, congratulated all the budding sportsmen for the wonderful opportunity they have been provided by the school authorities of GIIS Indore.
Such academies and sports facilities at every GIIS campus globally helps our students in acquiring professional training in sports discipline of their choice. This, in a way, gives direction and encourages the budding sport enthusiasts, who seriously want to pursue sports as a career option.
