GIIS SMART Campus will commence operations from July

Global Indian International School’s new SMART Campus@Punggol will commence operations from July 2018 after having received necessary approvals from authorities for the state-of-the-art premises.

The sprawling campus has the capacity to accommodate more than 3,500 students in 90 classrooms spread over two seven-storey blocks called the Peranakan and Straits - names which  reflect the Singaporean connection of the school which started operations from the Republic 16 years ago.

Principal Melissa Maria will head the secondary section while the primary section will have Rekha Varghese as Vice-principal.

The Queenstown and Balestier campuses will merge into one at the SMART Campus, as will the secondary section of the East Coast campus.

The SMART Campus will offer CBSE, IGCSE and IBDP under one roof and will have digital classrooms equipped with Smart boards, wifi system, iPads and lockers for students to learn better in a futuristic learning environment. All classrooms will also be accessible by Facial Recognition devices for the safety of students. This feature will also be used to mark attendance.
