Trailblazing the path of exceptional academic results, GIIS produced excellent scores in the recently conducted International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Class 10 examination 2015. Students from GIIS Queenstown Campus and GIIS East Coast Campus achieved highly impressive results; a testimony to the relentless their hard work and dedicated guidance of faculty members.

Congratulating the students on the IGCSE results, Mr Rajiv Vasudeva, Country Director (Singapore), GIIS said, “We are proud of remarkable results achieved by our students in the IGCSE examinations. This brilliant performance by students reinforces our belief of excellence in education. It also shows our students’ aspirations and steadfast commitment to achieve the highest standards of excellence.”

In GIIS Queenstown Campus, Singapore, overall 84 per cent students scored A* and A grades. This year’s results have been outstanding with 100 per cent students securing Distinction or Merit. From GIIS Queenstown Campus, 73 students appeared for IGCSE May/June 2015 examination for eight subjects (maximum number of subjects offered for regular students) or more. Four students secured a percentage uniform mark of 100 in Mathematics (three students in Extended Mathematics and one student in Additional Mathematics).

“Once again our students have made all of us proud by having 100 per cent pass results. Every year the number of students taking the IGCSE curriculum is increasing as the parents begin to realize that this course, which is more application-based makes students ready for future. I congratulate all students on their achievement,” said Ms Madhu Khanna, Principal of GIIS Queenstown Campus.

The current batch of IGCSE Class 10 (2015-16) at GIIS Queenstown Campus achieved another outstanding achievement, as 100 per cent students secured A* in Extended Mathematics.

Ms Deepika Sodhi, IGCSE Coordinator at GIIS Queenstown Campus, shared, "The outstanding results of our IGCSE Class 10 have yet again reaffirmed the winning streak of our students. The commitment and perseverance of students combined with the guidance, coaching and mentoring of our teachers beyond the call of their duty is the key to academic excellence."

GIIS East Coast Campus, Singapore

IGCSE Class 10 students of GIIS East Coast Campus in Singapore achieved greater heights in IGCSE examination in 2015. Students secured 100 per cent in the Cambridge ICE Certificate. Tremendous hard work and sheer determination of students was reflected in these results, as 88 per cent students secured Distinction or Merit.

Congratulating students on their results, Ms Melissa Maria, Principal of GIIS East Coast Campus, said, “We are proud of our students on their achievement. Each year our students are setting new benchmarks for following batches to achieve. I congratulate teachers who have relentlessly worked hard to pave way for this success and parents for their invaluable support."

Four students secured a perfect 9A*s and 29 per cent students secured 6A*s or above. Two students have secured PUM 100 in English Literature and Tamil. Hundred per cent students secured grade A and above in Tamil. Besides this, 29 per cent students secured only A* or A in all subjects. In Physics, 88 per cent students secured grade A and above, and 73 per cent students secured grade A and above in Chemistry.

Ms Shyla Menon, Academic Coordinator (Secondary) at GIIS East Coast Campus, shared, “This year’s IGCSE results are testimony to the fact that continuous hard work put up by students during intensive revision and preparatory days have paid off. Teachers have consistently analysed the performance of each student during the course and guided him or her to excel. The efforts of students, teachers, and parents have been instrumental in achieving the best in each student’s potential."
