The National Karate Championship was a display of strength, discipline and skill as students from across Karnataka converged in Mysore to compete. National Karate Championship was conducted on January 21 and 22 at Mysore, Karnataka and students from various schools across Karnataka participated. And among the top performers were the students of GIIS Bannerghatta, who were trained by the school's renowned karate coach, Mr. Roopesh.  

The students put their best foot forward, showcasing their martial arts prowess and taking home a haul of medals. Pritika Chandra, a grade 4 student, won a gold and silver medal, while Shreeyashree Mohapatra, a grade 5 student, took home two bronze medals. Akash Nair and Arnav Kale, also from grade 5, both won two silver medals and a bronze medal each. Meghna Paul from grade 6 and Mihir Shetty from grade 8 also added to the school's impressive medal tally with a bronze and two silvers respectively. 

The success of these students is an attestation to their hard work and dedication, as well as the guidance and mentorship of Mr. Roopesh. The school and the parents of these martial arts whiz kids are proud of their achievements, knowing that they have played a crucial role in helping them reach their potential. 

This National Karate Championship was an event to remember, and the students of GIIS Bannerghatta will no doubt be back, ready once again to showcase their skills and bring pride to their school and families.
