Pre-primary segment educators from GIIS Bannerghatta visited the GIIS Whitefield campus for a training workshop on GMP Curriculum & Orientation of Teachers 2026. The session was facilitated by Ms. Preetha D’Mello– Sr. Manager, Academic Operations at Global Schools Group. The session brought educators together for an engaging day of professional learning, reflection, and collaboration. 

The workshop focused on several key aspects of the GMP curriculum and early years education. One of the important areas covered was handling conflicts in the early years, with discussions around understanding children’s emotions and responding to everyday classroom situations with empathy and age-appropriate strategies. 

The teachers also explored design thinking and pre-coding, looking at ways to encourage creativity, logical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity among young learners. The session on display boards highlighted how classroom displays can be made more purposeful and engaging, turning learning spaces into environments that encourage children to observe, explore, and interact. 

An interactive brainstorming session gave teachers an opportunity to discuss practical classroom situations, share perspectives, and collectively think through possible approaches and solutions. The workshop also covered My Learning Checkpoints, helping educators understand how these can support the observation and documentation of children’s learning and progress. 

The training provided a valuable opportunity for teachers to come together, exchange ideas, and strengthen their understanding of the GMP curriculum. More importantly, it reinforced the importance of continuous learning for educators and creating meaningful, engaging experiences for children in their early years. 

Through such training initiatives, GIIS continues to invest in its educators, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make every classroom experience more enriching for young learners.
