GIIS Bannerghatta conducted a professional development workshop for teachers and staff, focusing on key areas that contribute to a safe, supportive, and nurturing school environment. 

The workshop centred on?Safety and Security, Mental Wellbeing, and the theme?“Responsive Teachers; Responsible Students.”?The sessions encouraged staff to reflect on the importance of creating spaces where students feel physically safe, emotionally supported, and comfortable seeking help when needed. 

The discussions highlighted the important role educators play in recognising students’ needs and supporting their overall wellbeing. The sessions also explored how thoughtful and responsive teaching practices can encourage students to develop a stronger sense of responsibility. 

By understanding students, responding to their needs, and creating positive classroom interactions, teachers can help children become more aware, confident, and accountable in their everyday lives.
