Dear Parents,
It is wonderful to see our campus come alive with the energy, excitement and enthusiasm of our students. With the reopening of the school, familiar sounds have returned to our corridors – conversations between friends, lively classrooms and the many everyday interactions that make school such a special place. It has been a positive start to the new academic year, and I am delighted to welcome our students and families back.
The new year has also been a time for our educators to learn, reflect and prepare for the journey ahead. Through our teacher development workshops, our educators explored important areas such as safety and security, mental wellbeing, responsive teaching and responsible student behaviour. The GMP team also took part in a curriculum training and orientation programme, with sessions on design thinking, pre-coding, conflict management, case studies and learning checkpoints. These opportunities for continuous learning help our teachers stay prepared to understand, support and respond to the changing needs of every child.
Our Parent Orientation Programmes, conducted for families from GMP to Grade 12, gave us a valuable opportunity to connect with parents at the start of the year. The sessions helped families understand the academic expectations, curriculum goals, assessment practices and student support systems for the year ahead. More importantly, they set the foundation for an open and collaborative partnership between the school and our parents. When we work together, we create a stronger and more supportive environment for our children to learn and grow.
We are also excited to introduce Brainmoto, a Neuro-Motor Learning Readiness Programme, for students from Nursery to Grade 5. The programme focuses on strengthening brain–body connections and developing skills such as focus, coordination and learning readiness. It is another step towards creating learning experiences that look at the child as a whole and support development beyond the classroom.
There have already been several moments that have made us proud. The inauguration of our new school auditorium is an important milestone for our campus. It gives our students a wonderful new space to perform, express themselves, collaborate and come together to celebrate their achievements. We also had the privilege of recognising our educators at the Global School Teachers’ Awards, where 11 teachers were honoured for their contributions. We celebrated this alongside faculty members who have dedicated many years of service to our school – a reminder of the commitment and care that lie at the heart of our community.
As we move forward, our priority remains simple: to ensure that every child feels safe, supported and encouraged to learn with confidence. We want our students to enjoy coming to school, feel comfortable asking questions, take on new challenges and grow into responsible and compassionate individuals.
I am grateful to our teachers for the care and commitment they bring each day, and to our parents for the trust and partnership they continue to extend to us. Most importantly, I look forward to seeing our students learn, explore, make new discoveries and create many more memories in the months ahead.
Together, let us make this academic year a meaningful and rewarding journey for every member of our school community.
Warm regards,
Bindu Rajesh
