Dear Parents & Students,
March has been a month of energy, creativity, and meaningful learning at GIIS Bannerghatta. From classroom activities to campus-wide events, students had opportunities to explore, express, and grow with confidence. Each initiative reflected our continued effort to create a learning environment that supports academic progress and overall development.
The month began with the Academic Fair, where students from Grades 1 to 11 showcased their projects and creative work. The campus was filled with enthusiasm as parents visited classrooms and appreciated the students' efforts. It was a proud moment to see them explain concepts with clarity and confidence.
Students of GMP participated in the My Learning Checkpoint. Parents observed and reviewed their child’s learning progress using rubrics to assess their responses across various learning stations.
Experiential learning continued with a field trip for our Nursery students to Jawaharlal Nehru Bal Bhavan, offering them an opportunity to explore, interact, and engage in a new environment. Their excitement and curiosity made the experience memorable.
Adding to the learning experiences, our Nursery students celebrated Rainbow Day, where children came dressed in colourful outfits and engaged in a paper-tearing activity to create a rainbow, helping them explore and identify different colours. The celebration encouraged creativity, curiosity, and joyful participation.
Our Bannerghatta campus also celebrated the inauguration of the Nikon Lab in collaboration with Nikon India. The lab was inaugurated by Mr. Nagarajan, National Academic Head, and Ms. Arya Chitra, General Manager of Youth & Kids School Programme from the Nikon team, who introduced students to the history of photography and key features of Nikon cameras, along with insights into photography courses and certifications.
As part of the GALS programme, teachers presented on key aspects of the school’s growth and development. The session covered a wide range of topics, including scholarship programmes, supporting adolescents through focused engagement, evaluating various admission schemes and outcomes in real time, and several other knowledge-oriented areas. The session provided valuable insights and strengthened understanding of the school’s approach to holistic student development.
Annual examinations were conducted smoothly across all grades, with students demonstrating confidence and preparedness. The process was well organised, ensuring a supportive environment for all learners.
The month also marked K2 Graduation Day, filled with pride as our young learners completed their early years and prepared for the next stage of their journey.
Students' achievements were recognised through the prize distribution for Jayden’s World Quiz Competition. The month concluded with a Women’s Self-Defense session, promoting awareness and equipping participants with practical safety skills.
As we reflect on the month, it is encouraging to see students growing in confidence, creativity, and learning. I extend my sincere appreciation to our teachers and parents for their continued support. Together, we will keep guiding our students towards new experiences and opportunities.
Warm Regards,
Bindu Rajesh
