The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an entrance examination for students who wish to seek admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India. This examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is a government body.

Around 16.1 lakh candidates appeared in the NEET (UG) held on 12th September 2021 in India and abroad. GIIS Ahmedabad has been designated as one of the centers for conducting this entrance examination since the year 2019.

Conducting this exam during the COVID 19 situation is no less than a challenge for everyone involved. However, GIIS Ahmedabad has never shied away from this challenge. Rising to the occasion, 101 staff members from GIIS Ahmedabad volunteered for the exam duties and contributed to this national service wholeheartedly.

A total of 480 students were present on the Campus for the examination.  All the safety and security guidelines of COVID19 were followed and executed meticulously. The entrance exam was conducted smoothly.

Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad, Caesar D'silva expressed his satisfaction on the successful conduction of the exam and said, “Even under the COVID19 situation, handling the entire proceedings with precision is truly commendable on part of the GIIS Ahmedabad team involved in the exam duty.
