Choosing the right universities and the course of study is the key to a successful career in the future. In view of this, GIIS Ahmedabad organizes various Career Counselling Sessions throughout the year in association with reputed National and International Universities for its students of the Senior School.

Delegates from the Ohio University, University of Delaware, and The University of Tennessee Knoxville visited GIIS Ahmedabad Campus on 16th December 2021 for a session with the students of Grades 10, 11, and 12. It was a unique opportunity for the students to interact in- person with the representatives of reputed US Public Universities in the campus itself.

During the session, Mr. Prathmesh Paingankar from Ohio University, Ms. Meghana Kamat from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Ms. Jamila Sheikh from the Delaware University took the students through various offerings at each of these Universities.

The session highlighted the benefits of studying in the U.S.A., tips for building the college list, eligibility criteria for various courses, the application process for admission to the colleges in the U.S.A., documents required, and the timelines. After the session, the students had a one-on-one interaction with the delegates in a fair-style format and they were able to further gain clarity on the queries they had. 

Shivam Jadhav from Grade 12, one of the participants, shares his experience, "Studying in the U.S.A. has always been my dream. The session gave me a better perspective on the preparation I need to make to realize this dream! I am grateful to our Principal and the teachers for arranging this highly useful session for us."
