Dear Parent,

The month of April 2022 was an attempt to normalize physical classes at the GIIS Ahmedabad Campus as we began with the new Academic Session 2022-23. The month was all about changes. GIIS Ahmedabad not only started full-fledged on-campus classes after a time gap of two years but introduced the two shifts school system as well.

Farewell to Grade 12 and Best Wishes Party for Grade 10 (Batch 2021-22)

GIIS Ahmedabad bid a heart-touching Farewell to the students of Class 12 - Batch 2021-22, along with best wishes for their bright future as they are about to leave the portals of the school. A ‘Best Wishes Party’ was also organized for the  Class 10 students (Batch 2021-22) who are appearing for their upcoming Board exams. 

Earth Day 2022 - Investing In Our Planet

GIIS Ahmedabad believes that the seeds for becoming responsible human beings should be sown right from the formative years. In this context, Earth Day was organized at GIIS Ahmedabad on the theme ‘Invest In Our Planet’. As a gesture of giving back to the Earth, the tiny tots of K1 D - Mishri Ganatra and Prashvi Badami cultivated plants on the school premises.

LLS Session- Academic Excellence

GIIS Ahmedabad has always been in the limelight when it comes to academics and nurturing students for a bright future. On the occasion of World Book Day, a Leadership Lecture Series (LLS) Session based on GEM 1-Academic Excellence was organized virtually to acquaint the young minds on why books are important. Dr. Ishmeet Kaur Chaudhary, educationist, author and poet spoke about the origin and history of books and how reading habits can be developed. She emphasized how reading books would be beneficial for the students and act as a catalyst in their academic excellence.

Safety Week

Safety is one of our top priorities at GIIS Ahmedabad.  ‘Safety Week’ was observed at GIIS with lots of activities like self-defense workshops, sessions on cyber safety, first aid, safe friendships, and safety tips to be followed at school, within the home, and outside the home.

Mother’s Day, Summer Fiesta, and Other Events

Thinking Thursday, Speak-up Activity, Math Magic, Elocutions, etc. kept our little ones engaged and on their toes, learning and exploring the world through these activities. Through Math Magic, the students of Grade 1 learned about the positioning of numbers and how placing them can change their values. The students of Class 2 enhanced their concept of three-digit numbers through the ‘Bingo’ game.

Not to forget about the summer vacation and its celebration! The children wait for the long vacation for the entire year in order to unwind, learn creative things and explore new places. Before the students went for their summer vacation, some fun activities were planned for them as part of the Summer Fiesta. The children carried with them a lot of happy memories of the day.

Students also observed Mother’s Day to celebrate the everlasting bond of love and affection between a mother and a child by making bracelets using beads and strings and writing gratitude messages.

GIIS Ahmedabad nurtures its students by inculcating the qualities of creativity, vision, passion, dedication, and adaptability to lead them towards a fruitful life in all aspects.
